I would like a full review of the electronic refrigerator/freezer. That sounds funny at first, but we do not have these in my area. I want to know more about them. I genuinely wonder what the hell you're supposed to say into the microphone after pressing the button. These are questions that I am burning to know the answer to. Also, how accurately does the information on the screen match what is inside the freezers? How does the information get onto the freezers? Does it scan the packages inside or do employees have to manually enter everything?

  • @Turtlejohn8

So there's the microphone button on the cooler door. What exactly does that do? What sorts of thing does one say to a refrigerator?

Seeing this video of the Daiso store has me rather intrigued. The merchandise is rather interesting. I love how they carried a wider variety of Hi-Chew and the Pocky Sticks. I too find it amusing that the character on the instant Ramen noodle package looks kinda like a South Park character. I would love to see Daiso stores make their way into Florida one day.

I quit shopping at Walgreens because the cashier would always comment on the specific items I was buying. WTF

  • @chris_troiano

My Walgreens is actually quite busy, despite being terribly understaffed. Yesterday I was standing in a line 20 people deep with one solitary cashier. I can’t ever redeem my rewards points because I got the card over a decade ago and every zip code I try for every place I remember living never works. Also, those freezer doors are terrible.

Worked for them for 5 years as a manager. Spot on analysis. Walgreens executives are clueless on how to run a retail company and are clueless to who their target retail customer is. They are too focused on pharmacy

Even if I had the money to afford these clothes the first thing that I thought while watching this was... "this is Nordstrom"? This type of clothes quality is no different that something you could pick up at a JCPenney or a Dillard's but yet they cost $400, $600 and $1800?? I don't get it. They don't even look good and look destined for a consignment shop. If I had that kind of money to blow on an outfit I'd just hire a tailor.

It's such a shame so many Malls are closed or closing, It Wasn't just about shopping it was about socialising, a lot people say amazon and online retail is to blame but it's also a lot of the stores having to pay overpriced rent, people not having as much disposable income, increased crime, the crash of 2008, the lockdowns of 2020, also there are a lot of areas which built too many malls in close proximity which caused over saturation, bit like Starbucks. I just hope they find good uses for Malls that are closing as so much time, effort, and money went into building these Malls.

My neighborhood Walgreens underwent a renovation about six months ago. Almost everything is now under lock and key, e.g., laundry detergent, coffee, Febreze, etc. Oddly enough, the beer cooler is unlocked, but the selection is so terrible, there's nothing worth stealing. They ruined the pet department (almost no food or toys). But they still sell cigarettes.

My parents and I shop at our local Walgreens for prescription medications and occasionally other things. Our local store is not dead like those two stores are, there are often a good amount of people coming and going. However, we also have one of those clinics and I never see anyone going there. And I hate those doors that are screens - our Walgreens does not have them but I have seen them in other places. What a dumb idea.

Both CVS and Walgreens has treated their customers like crap, treated their employees like crap, and expected the profits to keep rolling in. I get treated 100x better and faster at my grocery store pharmacy than i ever did in one of the pharmacy chains.

I've worked there. They work you steady and don't get caught lacking. You will get pulled aside and told you're wrong. The credit cards are the main pushing point. When you start. When you go to the bathroom. When you get back from your lunch. Also before the manager leaves. Then before you leave. They check your bags when you leave. Your purse ladies yes. If you call them on their bullshit. You get a warning. Did I mention the credit card? Don't you dare use that phone or earbuds when you stock shelves? No no no. Do everything you can work till you leave. Want to stay after for after-work stuff? Finish stocking shelves at 10 pm till who knows. You get there at 2. Well That's my experience. It's not a good place to work. They treat people like shit.

I've been a stockholder of Walgreens Boots Alliance a few years now. Years ago it was profitable (and better run). Life kept me too busy to keep close track of WBA for a few years. I tune back in maybe 5 years later and my stock has lost 66% of its value. I 100% agree they lost their way, my own shopping experience there is the same. I watch people stealing there and nobody does anything. More stuff is locked up at my closest location, but there is enough unlocked that there is always something to steal. At this point I'm basically F'ed if I sell the stock, but there is a chance for some kind of change of management and fortune. I set to not-reinvest the dividend and an auto-sell order if it rises to a mere 50% loss. CVS has taken a real dive too, but not nearly as much.

.... Other than like an actual emergency or to get a prescription, I truly cannot understand why a human being would go inside a Walgreens???? For that matter, even filling, a prescription would be easier better, faster, etc. at any number of other options, which include places that you could actually get real groceries or real things like Walmart. They're just isn't really a need for these to even exist anymore outside of very small isolated communities

Walgreens is going the way of kmart. They're not close a bunch of these soon and it's going to be bad news for them. And unfortunately us as consumers not one less big place to shop it means higher prices for all. This was a very insightful video. Just ran into your channel. There's some true analysis here not clearly you've gone into the stores and understand what the issues are. Thank you.
